Skating on a free road

I always wondered how exactly the skateboard stays under the feet of professional skate boarders every time they land a trick. It seems to defy the laws of physics. So I decided to find out for myself, went to the nearest sports store got myself a skateboard and the safety gear as well cause seen some skaters land on other parts besides their feet. I pad up and keep get on the board and kick of the pavement, I seemed to do fine. Maintained my balance pretty well except the burning sensation in every muscle in my leg cause of the strain I am putting on them just to keep my balance. All went fine until the pavement was coming to an end, wasn’t sure if I should stop and continue. Took a breath and did a hop to get off the pavement and I landed but something was wrong I wasn’t moving but the skateboard alone was skating off. I got back on and tried again and again landed on my face a couple of times when I stumbled on the skateboard or when it skated off from under me. I thought to myself those guys must definitely be using graphics on TV because this is hard but decided to give it one last try.

Got back on and landed it, the satisfaction I felt was nothing short of what an Olympic gold medalist would feel considering I had way more bruises than they would.

Going Extreme

Life is full of choices and I made mine, decided to do everything that is called extreme in this world. We live only once so why sit back and stare at others do it. I made a list of all that I had to do and the first was bungee jumping. Took a deep breath and went for the nearest bungee jumping spot and said to myself "there is no turning back now" as the instructor was fitting the safety gear on me. But the little pep talk I gave myself didn’t last when I was at the edge of the bridge. All that I could think of was "Man, I shouldn't be here", looking down 400m onto a river down below anyone would have the same thought but I was already too far down the lane and no use jamming the brakes now. Said the fastest prayer of my life and I leaned forward. The next few seconds were the most exciting moments of my life and also the dizziest moments as well. Seeing the world spinning all over while free falling was awesome to say the least. Well that’s one down and plenty to go.

Dancing with the devil

There was something about rafting, the water capturing your body, overwhelming you with one of nature's best creations Just thinking about it gave me goose bumps and chills down my spine, however, I have heard about all the fun they brag about over the years. I wasn't going to let this opportunity pass. Everyone was reminiscing about the previous years. Friends scaring you with stories of people who fell into the river are the last thing you would want to hear when your heart is in your throat but the instructor gave me confidence. I still wasn't sure if I wanted to go camping or rafting. My heart was pounding so hard that it could pop out of my chest as the instructor shouts ready and raft. The water was lashing us all over throwing us up and down and splashing all over us. It was amazing despite the fact I was literally holding for dear life it was superb. I was shaking with excitement, the adrenalin surging through my body and also for the mere fact that I made it. This is what you call conquering your fears.

Inversion on wheels

Many extremists say skating is much easier than skateboarding but those are the comments of those who haven't tried doing some tricks on the half pipe on skates.

I am a skate boarder so going high and doing big tricks is my favorite. It is a challenge to stay on your skateboard but then again compared to the complexity of the tricks on skates it cannot be said that skateboarders are more extreme. Tricks like the flat spin 360 and California 1080 which the Yasutoko brothers created and perfected is not something anyone can pull off. I tried some basic 900 and 540 on the half pipe and landed then smoothly and pretty easy which is normally considered a challenge on a skateboard but then doing some signature skate moves roughed me up pretty good. I landed on my behind plenty of times but I am used to it but it was tough. I couldn't land a single 1080 every time I would come close the skates would go from under me leaving me face first on the floor of the half pipe. The only relief I had was that I didn't have to worry about the skates slipping of my foot. But skating for sure is one hell of an adventure that I would do again despite the face plants.

Hiking my way

Since my childhood from seeing super hero movies I like to do some adventures in my life and from that I started to think what to do and at last decided to do hiking.

It’s what we call fate my first adventures trip was hiking, I was about to travel for a small amount of distance since it was my first hiking trip and I don’t want to risk myself at the start so I avoided to travel over bridges and mountains. The next day I started packing my stuffs in bag and started to walk from my home town. The trip started so good and I was walking continuously, say 4 hours at a stretch considering on an average I walk 3 mph and I walked at the same pace with a water bottle in my hand. The journey continued and after some 6 hours I started to feel hungry but by that time I was at the middle of a high way where no hotels or any food supplying stores are available all I see is only some automobile stores, but I continued walking and I was almost fainted and one guy from road side came and gave me some water and supplied me some eatables and made me to continue my hiking trip.
