So, time for some geek fun. Yesterday, my geek friend arrived at my place and started looking at my blog and boy, was he happy that something in technology is helping an adventurer and travel advisor like me to go out and reach with other people out there to help them in their adventure plannings and stuff.
But he did something very geeky and started observing and calculating how many people actually read my blog and came back in return after a while. I asked him what he is doing, he replied "Examining traffic, it's not that bad". But still it seems there is a long way to go. He then started lecturing and turoting me on achieving good amount of people or so called "targeted traffic" and targeting audiences. Here's an excerpt from what we discussed and it can apply for you as well!.
This targeted website traffic may not be easy to acquire, but it's important that you keep in mind to always aim for it. This is what can make your business profitable.
Ask anyone and they will tell you that visits to your site that convert into sales are the ones that really matter. No matter how many visitors your site has, if the ones that you'd like to see aren't there, you should really start working.
Submitting your site to search engines "as is" may not be a totally wrong approach. Of course, there will be people searching for what you have to offer, and you will get some ranking based on how many visits your site received. There are some things you can do to increase your chances of getting as little spam traffic as possible and observe an ascending tendency in the figures that reflect your targeted web traffic. If followed appropriately and with good sense, your blog or website will reach the right audience and generate more social communication, he concluded.

Targetting your audience
Know about Laser surgeries and take care
I always advise people to take care of themselves when they go out for an adventure or sports stuff just so that they can take care of themselves and not ending up themselves and damaging their body.
A friend of mine got his back hurt so badly and was in extreme pain that the doctors advised laser back surgery for him. So, I wanted to share with my readers what is this Laser Back Surgery all about and how one can benefit from it.
Majority of the people suffering from excruciating pain of upper back pain, lower back pain, back and neck pain have some physical problem that is not easily cured through medications and physical therapy. In such cases, surgeries are required. Laser spine surgery is an endoscopic alternative that has replaced conventional methods of spine fusion surgeries. By the help of laser light beams, surgeons are able to remove bone spurs and other problems like herniated discs.
Laser Back Surgery: What is Good About it
Physicians have started recommending laser back surgery as a good alternative for severe back pain relief. Several benefits of laser back surgery as established by various medical sources are as follows:
.Due to administering of local anesthesia, patients can be comfortable when the doctor performs the Spinal Surgery.
.Since laser is used, there are no large incisions and long hospital stays. It takes an hour (on an average) for the surgery to be performed.
.The recovery period for laser back surgery is just few hours. If comfortable, patients can go home within hours after the surgery.
.These back surgeries is less invasive as there are no cuts, incisions etc. There is almost no risk to other internal organs unlike conventional surgeries.
What Must You Do
As a patient thinking to go for laser back surgery, you have to firstly consider if you seriously need back surgeries or your problem can be eliminated through any other possible methods. In case, you're choosing the surgery option, you're choosing its risk factors as well (if at all they occur). Hence, you've got to be mentally prepared for this. And since all this can't be done alone, sit for at least 2 -3 sessions with your family doctor and discuss the entire case. Tell about your health concerns and discuss the methods doctors use to eliminate pain.

Popcorn time - A brief history
Most of the world's popcorn is grown in the Midwestern part of the United States - principally in Nebraska, Iowa, and Indiana where it can get mighty hot in the summer. Although popcorn has been with us since pioneer times, it was not until 1890 that pop corn became important enough to be raised as a crop for market. Before that time, individual families raised their own popcorn or bought it from their neighbors. Since that time, popcorn has brought enough income to its growers to earn the name "prairie gold."
Some historians suggest, but this theory has never been proved, that when the early English colonists held their first Thanksgiving celebration on October 15, 1621, an Indian named Quadequina brought an offering for the feast - a great deerskin bag of popped corn. The Pilgrims enjoyed this treat, which was to become a unique part of the American way of life. The early colonists called it popped corn, parching corn, and rice corn. Native Americans would bring popcorn snack to meetings with the English colonists as a token of goodwill during peace negotiations.
In American Indian folklore, some tribes were said to believe that quiet contented spirits lived inside of each popcorn kernel. When their houses were heated, the spirits would become angrier and angrier, shaking the kernels until the heat became unbearable, at which point the spirits would burst out of their homes and into the air in a disgruntled puff of steam.
Colonial housewives served popcorn with sugar and cream for breakfast (the first "puffed" breakfast cereal). Some colonists popped corn using a cylinder of thin sheet-iron that revolved on an axle in front of the fireplace like a squirrel cage.
The first popcorn machine was invented by Charles Cretors of Chicago, Illinois in 1885. In order to test his machine, it was necessary for Charles to operate it on the street as the customer. He was issued a peddler's license to use the machine on December 2, 1885. Until then, poppers were made to sit in front of stores to attract attention. The huge, ponderous popcorn machine with its gasoline burner became a familiar part of the scent. Street vendors used to follow crowds around, pushing steam or gas-powered poppers through fairs, parks, and expositions. This practice continued up until the Depression years (1929-1939). Today much of the popcorn you buy at movies and fairs is popped in poppers made by the Cretors family.
Take the best supplement and be healthy
I always go about giving tips on how to be healthy and lead a happy life with full health because life is all about living it with all your might but very little people realize this and lose so much of energy going behind things which are of no importance to them yet they do it just to please people around them.
Ok now the real topic which I decided to write about today is about food supplements and what are the essential natural vitamins that everybody should in take so that they can lead a healthy life every day. There has been a lot of writing about the potential dangers of using excessive quantities of synthetic man-made vitamins. Professionals have somewhat conflicting views and opinions concerning the use of synthetic man-made vitamin supplements in large doses and the effects this could have on your health. Some of them believe that such vitamin supplements may do more harm than good, and that you're better off with an organic whole food vitamin supplement.
English-written newspaper articles also state the positive effects of natural vitamin supplement intakes versus synthetic vitamins. People should take notice of their food intolerance as well. While this may be a propaganda directed by drug manufacturers, there's definitely no doubt that the best source for vitamin and mineral supplements is nature, and this is something all nutritionists agree with. Unlike man-made synthetic vitamins, natural vitamin supplements have only natural ingredients.
